95% of people who tested positive for COVID were not vaccinated.

97% of people hospitalized for COVID were not vaccinated.

99% of COVID deaths are people who were not vaccinated.

If we look at just a four week period October 25th, 2021 to November 22nd, 2021, we can see the impact of the delta variant by increasing numbers of cases of vaccinated people. However, the rate of hospitalization and death is still quite low for vaccinated individuals.

 

 

In New Mexico, unvaccinated individuals continue to make up a majority of new cases and hospitalizations, according to New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) data.
