What’s in a COVID vaccine and how does it work?

Misinformation can jeopardize the health of your and your loved ones so let’s address some of your fears about the vaccine. Instead of containing live virus, mRNA vaccines temporarily rely on harmless spike proteins that build antibodies and fight off coronavirus. The vaccine does not alter your DNA, affect your fertility, or jeopardize your safety. It does however teach your body how to protect against future infection from coronavirus without ever having to actually contract the virus (Center of Disease Control).
